Four steps, and you can stop at any of them.
From a price on a screen to a working system is usually a few weeks. Here is each step, what we do, and the one or two things we need from you before it can happen.
✓ Six questions, no salesperson, no obligation.
Typical elapsed time
Survey, design, equipment, scaffold and grid notification all sit between yes and installed.
Accreditation marks and review scores are added here once verified.
An indicative price online, about a minute.
01
What happens
Six questions about your roof and how you use electricity. At the end you get an indicative price for a build that suits the answers you gave, before you hand over a phone number. Nobody rings you because you looked.
It is a starting price for a standard pitched roof with straightforward access, the same number we publish on the prices page. It is not a quotation.
- What you needYour postcode and a rough idea of your annual electricity use or your monthly bill. A recent bill helps but is not required.
- How longAbout a minute.
- What it costsNothing, and you give us no contact details to see the number.
- What you getAn indicative price, with what is included and what is not written next to it.
A free survey, about an hour.
02
What happens
A surveyor measures the roof, looks in the loft, checks the consumer unit and works out where scaffold can stand and where the battery can sensibly live. Nothing is sold at this visit and there is no presentation.
If something on the exclusions list applies to your property, a slipped tile, an awkward scaffold, a consumer unit that has to be replaced, it is written down with a price next to it rather than discovered on installation day.
- What you need to doBe in, and give the surveyor access to the loft hatch and the meter. If either is behind a wardrobe or a decade of boxes, a bit of warning helps.
- How longAbout an hour for most houses.
- What it costsNothing, and there is no obligation at the end of it.
- What you getA fixed price in writing, with the equipment listed and any exclusions priced.
Installation, usually one to two days.
03
What happens
Scaffold goes up, normally the working day before. Our own teams fit the mounting, the panels, the inverter and the battery, then commission the system and show you the app before they leave. Scaffold comes down afterwards, which is often a separate visit.
We notify your distribution network operator and handle the paperwork rather than leaving a form with you. If anything genuinely unexpected appears once the roof is open, work stops and we talk to you about it before it costs you anything.
- What you need to doClear parking for a van where you can, keep the loft accessible, and keep pets and small children away from the scaffold.
- How longOne to two days on site for most domestic builds, plus scaffold up and down either side.
- Power offYour electricity is switched off for part of one day while the new circuits are connected. We tell you roughly when the day before.
- What you getA working system, a tidy site and the roof left as we found it.
Handover, and the paperwork that matters.
04
What happens
You get your handover pack: the certificates, the equipment manuals, the warranty documents and the settings we used. We walk you through the app, set the battery charging schedule around your tariff, and show you what a normal day looks like on the graph.
We also help you register for export payments, so you are paid for the electricity you send back to the grid.
After the survey
Your price in writing, with 14 days to change your mind.
- What you need to doBe in for the handover, and have your electricity supplier and account number to hand for the export registration.
- How longHalf an hour at the end of the installation, and a short follow-up if the export registration needs chasing.
- What you getCertificates, manuals, warranties, a configured system and help with export registration.
What "fixed after survey" means, and your 14 days.
A fixed price is fixed
The price on this website is indicative. It is a starting price for a standard pitched roof with straightforward scaffold access, and it can move once someone has actually seen your property.
After the survey you get a written quotation with the equipment listed and a single price on it. That price is fixed. It does not change afterwards because the scaffolder charged more than we expected, or because something was missed at survey. The only thing that changes it is you changing the specification, and then you get a new written price before any work happens.
If one of the exclusions applies, roof repairs, a non-standard scaffold, a consumer unit upgrade, tree work or structural work, it appears on that quotation as its own line with its own figure. You can accept it, decline it, or walk away.
You have 14 days to change your mind
Because a contract of this kind is agreed in your home, you have a statutory right to cancel within 14 days. The period starts on the day the contract is made, and if you cancel within it you get your money back.
If you want us to start work inside those 14 days, you have to ask us for that in writing. We will explain what it means before you do: if you then cancel, you can be asked to pay for the work already carried out.
The price does not drop if you hesitate.
Your cancellation rights, and the address to send a cancellation to, are set out in full in the contract documents you receive before anything is agreed. Nothing on this page replaces them.
Start at step one.
Six questions about your roof and your usage, and a number at the end. If it works for you, book a survey. If it does not, you have lost a minute and given us nothing.
